Champion singer Sofronio Vasquez has reunited with his The Voice USA season 26 coach Michael Bublé. The two caught up months after the Star Magic talent’s win in the international singing competition.
Sofronio is back in Los Angeles after his successful shows in Canada.
In his short Instagram Reel, the Filipino singer did a mini skit with his coach with whom he planned on having lunch.
“Now back in LA and you know I’m having a good time. You’re taking me to lunch, right,” Sofronio shared.
Michael, who wanted to joke around with his mentee, playfully lied that he forgot his wallet so he couldn’t pay for their meal. While he was walking away from the camera, Sofronio spotted the Canadian singer’s wallet resting comfortably in his back pocket.
The two laughed it off and went out for lunch together. In a separate post, the former Tawag ng Tanghalan contestant shared that they had a “productive” lunch and shared some snaps from their mini reunion.
“Had a very productive lunch with the man himself @michaelbuble. we skipped dessert because we are on diet LOL,” he wrote.
Fans of the duo expressed how happy they are that they’re back together. Other netizens hoped that this coach and mentee reunion will mean that the two will be working together with something in the studio.
“So awesome to have you two back together. When is your record coming out, Sofronio,” a fan asked.
“I love how you have genuine beautiful friendship on and off the show! What a true blessing you are to each other,” another fan added.
Sofronio previously made history after winning the 26th season of The Voice USA as he was the first Filipino and Asian to win the US-based singing competition. His life story was recently aired in the latest season of Maalaala Mo Kaya where actor Elijah Canlas played him.
