Kapamilya actress Kim Chiu visited the home of the Philippines’ Queen of All Media Kris Aquino earlier this week. In an Instagram post, the It’s Showtime host expressed how happy she was to see her “ate” in the flesh after almost two years.
Kim and Kris have bonded over several projects they’ve worked together on in the past. The former Pinoy Big Brother housemate treats the veteran talk show host as one of her sisters in the industry.
“Time may have passed, but some friendships remain timeless. Seeing ate @krisaquino after so long felt like no time had passed at all,” Kim wrote.
The Kapamilya star shared a glimpse of their reunion in Kris’s room. Joining her on the visit was writer Darla Sauler and Miles Ocampo. The Queen of All Media was seen in her bed relaxing and enjoying the company.
“It was so heartwarming to see her smile, even as she continues to regain her strength. With prayers and medicine, you’ll get better soon, ate,” she added.
Kim also expressed her gratitude for Bimby Aquino-Yap who acted as the host during the former’s trip to their home. Apart from their mini reunion, Kris surprised Kim with an early birthday gift as well–– a Care Bears Mega Space Molly.
“Thank you for letting us visit, and of course, thank you, Bimb, for taking care of us—lalo na sa pa-extra rice ni @darla ! Hihi nice to see you again @milesocampo 😘 thank you miga darla nadayun jud ta,” she wrote.
“Thank you so much, ate, for the early birthday gift—ang laki pala nito! 🥹 Haha! And also I am always thankful for you ate for everything. Love you so so soo much,” she continued.
Meanwhile, Kris was spotted earlier this week at an event where she accompanied her good friend, fashion designer Michael Leyva. Fans were surprised by the actress-host as it was the first time she made a public appearance after several years.
Kris has been battling with several autoimmune diseases and has been vocal about her health journey on her Instagram account. She remained in the US where she got treatment and only moved back to the country recently.
