“Ang showbiz man pakinggan, being part of P77 is a dream come true for me,” expresses Barbie Forteza.
As showbiz as it may sound, Barbie Forteza said that starring in the upcoming mind-bending horror movie P77 is a dream come true for her.
As a horror fan herself, Barbie only once dreamed of starring in a horror movie herself but now it came true.
She said, “Ang showbiz man pakinggang pero being part of P77 is a dream come true for me.”
“I’m a big horror movie fan, this is the type of film na I would really want to see in theaters kasi I want to share the experience with the rest of the audience.
“Para ‘yung sarili ko yung mapanood ko sa ganung klaseng pelikula na gustong-gusto kong panoorin, to be able to do another project with Direk Derick na napakaganda ng experience namin noon sa Tuos, tapos ngayon kasama ko siya ulit, wala pa ring kupas ang husay.”
At the end, Barbie said that she is proud of P77 despite the state that the Philippine movie industry is currently in.
“I am very confident with our material kaya rin proud ako na i-promote siya kasi, i mean wala namang iba, ako ang magmamayabang ng pelikula namin kasi ganun siya kaganda,” she said proudly.
“Not because nandito ako but the material itself, ang rich, ang talino kumbaga. All markets, all ages sakop nung pelikulang ito, mula sa pinakabata hanggang sa pinakamatanda.”
Aside from Barbie, also part of P77 are Euwenn Mikaell, JC Alcantara, Carlos Siguion-Reyna, and Ms. Gina Pareño.
P77 is a mind-bending horror film directed by Derick Cabrido and written by Enrico Santos, based on an original concept by Anj Atienza and Kristian Julao.
Barbie portrays Luna, a breadwinner who was thrust to carry the weight of her family when her mother suddenly goes missing while working in P77.
P77 will be distributed by Warner Bros. Philippines. It will be shown exclusively in cinemas on July 30.
