Brent Manalo on Mika Salamanca as his GMA Gala 2025 date: ‘We’re being true to our words’

The recent glamorous GMA Gala 2025 was surely filled with surprises, heartwarming moments, and a celebration of remarkable milestones.
One of the things fans stayed tuned in was the appearance of Pinoy Big Brother Celebrity Collab Edition duo, Brent Manalo and Mika Salamanca.
The hype truly peaked as the Kapuso winner revealed a gala proposal, which was asked by none other than the Kapamilya star. Many then felt the kilig vibes as the two graced the blue carpet wearing matching elegant white ensembles.
In an exclusive interview with GMANetwork.com, Brent expressed his happiness to be in the dazzling event once again.
“Actually it’s my second time attending the GMA Gala,” he shared. “Pero this time around ang saya kasi may partner na. Kasi last year nahiya talaga ako syempre as a first timer (tapos) syempre from a Kapamilya pa so parang bago ang lahat sa akin. Pero sobrang welcoming ang lahat and this time may kasama na rin ako kaya mas napadoble ‘yung comfort.”
When asked about having Mika as his date, Brent said it was connected to a promise they made inside the PBB house.
“Ever since naman sabi naman namin dalawa ni Mika even sa outside world ‘di naman magbabago ‘yung naging samahan namin sa loob ng bahay. So we’re um being true to our words,” he said.
In a twist that delighted fans even more, the two were even awarded as GMA Gala 2025’s Couple of the Night. Recalling the moment, Brent couldn’t help but chuckle.
“Sabi ko, ‘Couple of the night?!” Sabi namin dalawa ni Mika. Pero syempre ang saya na makatanggap ng award syempre na bago sa amin ni Mika ito na mag-attend ng event ng magkasama kaya ayun masaya naman,” he stated.
Joining Brent and Mika at the star-studded event were fellow PBB Celebrity Collab Edition housemates: Will Ashley, Dustin Yu, Ralph De Leon, Esnyr, River Joseph, Vince Maristela, Josh Ford, Emilio Daez, Michael Sager, Charlie Fleming, AZ Martinez, Bianca de Vera, Shuvee Etrata, Klarisse De Guzman, Xyriel Manabat, Kira Balinger, AC Bonifacio, and Ashley Ortega.
Fans couldn’t get enough of the much-awaited reunion, which was filled with laughter, candid bonding moments, and iconic interactions that once again reminded everyone how this batch captured the nation’s hearts.
