They’re two of the biggest young stars currently in music, so you’d think Taylor Swift and Ed Sheeran would make sure they’re the stars of their new joint music video.

But that’s not the case as the pair have instead enlisted a couple of cute mini-me lookalike children to play out their roles in the promo for Everything Has Changed instead.

The four minute clip, which has been unveiled this week, shows a cute blonde girl getting on a school bus and sitting next to a small ginger haired boy.

Mimicking Ed the boy sits there reading his comic book, before they’re later seen in class together.

The video shows their blossoming friendship as they play together in the playground, sit next to each other in class and even have sleep overs in self made camps in their bedrooms.

The children play out the words of the song, about a boy and girl blossoming into something romantic before everything starts changing.

Throughout the stars throw in hints of themselves, from the girlie dresses worn by the young Taylor Swift lookalike, to Ed’s mini-me playing guitar to the girl in a music lesson as the rest of the children run riot.

Inseparable: Throughout the music video the mini-mes get closer as they take part in many childhood activities, like starring in a play together

At one point the children find themselves in the school hall and start dancing together as they seem to get closer.

But in true star style, it wouldn’t be a music video without at least a cameo from the stars.

In a twist at the end, both Taylor and Ed turn up to the school separately to pick up the children and act as each child’s parent.

The boy comes running into Ed Sheeran’s tattooed arms, while the girl is greeted by Taylor, before they are taken home.

Both Ed and Taylor catch each other’s eyes at the school gate and smile at each other before walking off separately.

Uncanny: Both children have remarkable resemblances to the stars with the way they dress and demeanours

Cute: The video seems to mimic the two stars when they were children themselves

Dress up: For once the stars opted to make some lookalikes the stars of the video rather than themselves

And relax: The ginger haired boy and fair haired girl do everything together throughout the promo

Earlier this year Sheeran supported Taylor on a string of concert dates throughout America.

The pair have previously been romantically linked themselves with speculation mounting over the status of their relationship.

However despite the pair seeming very close, with Ed even having a tattoo tribute to the pretty blonde, he insists they are just friends.

Although that didn’t stop him from being delighted that even his friends believed he was dating someone so famous and glamorous.

The romance rumours were cranked up a notch recently after he was spotting leaving her hotel room in the early hours.

Speaking about that night, which took place before the Brit awards, in an interview for New Zealand broadcaster TVNZ, Sheeran said: ‘I did go to her hotel, I did stay there ’til four and I did leave in the same clothes.

‘But I was playing her my new record. It was strictly that kind of thing.

‘Literally, I went in there and we passed the guitar back and forth and played songs to each other.’
Asked whether he stole a kiss he responded: ‘I’m a professional.’

He continued: ‘The thing that impressed me with the media is that because they wrote about it, my mates believed it.

‘And my mates are texting me being like ‘is it true?’ so I said it wasn’t but the fact that people can believe it makes me feel like a bit of a stud, you know?

Talented: Ed is touring with Taylor for six months as they continue to make records together

‘I’ve got to be honest because one of my best friends did date her. I’m not that kind of guy. But the fact that people believed it impressed me a little bit.’

And he pointed out it would be foolhardy to date Swift because they were due to tour together.

‘Six months on the road with someone, that could get a bit awkward.’
