Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce may be living an enchanted life right now. He recently helped his team win their third Super Bowl title in five seasons, and their second in a row. In their Super Bowl LVIII win over the San Francisco 49ers, Kelce had nine receptions for 93 yards, making numerous big plays late in the fourth quarter and in overtime to put the Chiefs in a position to tie the game, and then win it.

On top of winning his third Super Bowl ring, Kelce is dating 14-time Grammy Award winner Taylor Swift. The world famous popstar reportedly attended 13 Chiefs games this year to support Kelce and the team. For his part, Kelce has also traveled abroad, to Argentina and Australia, to support Swift on her Eras Tour.

Now that it is the offseason, Kelce is rumored to be joining Swift again on tour when it takes her to Europe. He previously had to leave Australia after only a few days for prior commitments with friends and teammates.

Taylor Swift Was Embraced as Family by Kansas City Chiefs Players

The relationship between Swift and Kelce brought many new fans to the NFL. 210 million viewers, many of them women and girls who became fans because of the relationship, tuned into watch the Super Bowl, making it the most-watched championship game in NFL history. Two weeks before, 55 million people made the AFC Championship game between the Chiefs and Baltimore Ravens the most viewed AFC event in NFL history as well.

As many new fans as there were, and as many people are genuinely happy (or have no opinion) for Kelce Swift, there are many others that have set out to criticize them individually or as a couple for months. That criticism, though, only endeared her to Kelce’s teammates even more.

According to Kansas City secondary coach Dave Merritt (who became the first assistant coach to win five Super Bowls with the victory over the 49ers), Chiefs players rallied around Swift as criticism from the outside mounted:

“There were so many people that were hating the fact that she was being shown on the TV that, you know what? You’re part of our family because you’re now with Travis. So, therefore, you’re our little sister…You’re part of our family.”

Head coach Andy Reid also praised the effect that Swift had on the team by being around them. He told reporters that she even made the offensive linemen some homemade pop-tarts, but jokingly bemoaned the fact that no one shared them with him.

Taylor Swift Went to More Kansas City Chiefs Games than People Know

As mentioned previously, Swift is known to have attended 13 Chiefs games this year, the first being Kansas City’s Week Three game at home versus the Chicago Bears. Kelce had seven receptions for 69 yards and a touchdown in that game, a 41-10 victory.

In the same interview in which he revealed how Chiefs players embraced Swift amidst the criticism, Merritt also revealed that the popstar was around the team before anyone else in the public knew about her relationship with Kelce:

“When [Taylor] started to come around, it was privately. She was coming into the stadiums without people knowing until the camera put a big spotlight on it.”
Attending so many games, both in Kansas City and all over the country, could not have been easy. After all, she has her own tour going on that has taken her from one end of the country to the other, as well as every corner of the globe.

It seems, though, that Swift is truly smitten with the nine-time Pro Bowler, just as much as he is with her. In fact, it sounds as if she has already penned a song or two about Kelce.

Taylor Swift Has Written at Least Two Songs about Kansas City Chiefs Tight End Travis Kelce

According to an exclusive report by Us Weekly, sources close to Swift revealed that she has already written two songs about falling in love with Kelce. Fans that have been waiting to hear what she may have written, though, will be disappointed. The sources do not think she will share them with anyone:
“Taylor has already written songs about Travis [Kelce],” a source exclusively tells Us Weekly. “She’s written at least two songs. They have to do with their love story and falling in love with him.”

“She likely won’t share them with anyone. They’re very special,” the source adds. “Songs are like poetry to her. Just like most people journal, Taylor writes lyrics. Her relationship with Travis has inspired her.”
