'So greedy': Khloe Kardashian faces backlash for selling 5-year-old daughter's used clothes online

LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Khloe Kardashian, who faced significant backlash online for digitally altering her Russian Grey cat using FaceTuning, is once more under fire on social media for attempting to sell her daughter True Thompson’s used clothing.

Recently, Khloe, 39, took to her Instagram to post a link directing followers to the Kardashian Kloset website, where second-hand clothing and accessories worn by the Kardashian-Jenner family are sold.

On Monday, February 26, Khloe utilized her Instagram Stories to share a link. Accompanying the link to the website was a photo of her five-year-old daughter, accompanied by the caption, “New pieces up on @kardashiankloset.”

Regularly selling items on the site, which specializes in designer clothing and accessories from the Kardashians and Jenner family, Khloe, the co-founder of Good American, is estimated to be worth $60 million, per Daily Mail.

While Khloe often sells designer items on the website, a few eagle-eyes observers noticed that the reality TV star has included items from fast-fashion brands including Zara and Mango.

After some investigation, fans soon discovered that Khloe was attempting to sell a leopard denim jacket from the Zara Kids line for $50, a price comparable to similar items from the brand.

Apart from a blue Urban Outfitter dress, the website also listed a Mango Youth black crop top for $20.

Unsurprisingly, fans were not very receptive to the family’s attempts to sell used clothes and expressed their discontent online by criticizing them.

Khloe Kardashian receives internet flak for selling True’s used clothes

The internet harshly criticized Khloe as well as the Kardashian family as a whole for profiting from selling their used clothes. Some fans expressed an understanding of selling rare designer pieces but were unable to support the sale of clothes from fast fashion brands.

One of the exasperated fans took to a Reddit thread dedicated to the discussion about Kardashian Kloset, and said, “They’re pricing the jacket higher than it MSRPed for … lol are they ok.” [sic]

Someone else commented, “This disgusts me. You such much money can you not just f***ing donate the clothes to people in need. They are so greedy.” [sic]

“I wouldn’t agree necessarily with adult clothing but selling children’s clothing when worn at retail price or with a markup is kinda vile lol,” added another netizen.

Another social media user said, “That’s what gets me – I understand to an extent reselling designer clothing/items that were bought (if it was gifted that’s another thing). However, reselling more affordable brands such as Zara at full price is just gross to me when you can donate.”

“The whole kardashian kloset [sic] thing is gross in general but reselling the kids clothing is extra vile for multiple reasons,” said another naysayer.

A social media fan declared, “Why would they care to resell a $50 USED jacket?? omg. I like them less now lol.”
