Miley Cyrus Reflects on Her Top Falling Off on Live TV: “Show Your Boobs and You Get Renewed”
Remember when Miley Cyrus hosted New Year’s Eve with Pete Davidson and her top decided to opt out of the event by falling off?
A refresher: Miley started singing “Party in the USA” and the chain on her silver halter top broke—prompting her to leave stage and come back in a red jacket.
But she effortlessly played through the wardrobe malfunction and even tweaked the lyrics of “Party in the USA” to “Everybody’s definitely looking at me now,” before adding, “I’m still in the most clothes that I’ve ever worn on stage.”

Anyway! Miley reflected on the moment while breaking down her 17 most memorable looks for British Vogue, saying “This outfit did not stay on very long because the chain in the back broke.
But what is a live TV performance with everything going right? Live TV is a tight-rope walk.
They want to see you dangle, but they don’t want to see you fall. We had promoted the show as, ‘It’s Miley Cyrus and Pete Davidson, they’re so wild, tou never know what’s going to happen.’ And comparably to Pete, I’m pretty classy.
