Henry Cavill fans, it’s time for you to rejoice as his latest movie, Argylle, is expected to hit the streaming platforms soon. The movie came out in the theatres but did not do as well as expected. Therefore, it might be why the film is coming on the OTT platform so soon. The film has been directed by Matthew Vaughn, and it is a spy thriller with a stellar cast.
Pop sensation Dua Lipa debuted with this Cavill-led movie. The Man of Steel star is a famous face in Hollywood and has a huge fandom, but his professional life has been dwindling a bit – first, he was never hired back to portray Superman’s role in the new DC Universe under James Gunn and Peter Safran and then his exit from the hit Netflix series, The Witcher. However, his fans were beyond excited when he announced his association with the Warhammer 40K franchise across platforms.

Henry Cavill’s fans had been waiting for his Argylle for a long time as they wanted to see their favorite star on the big screen. The story is about a reclusive author, Elly Conway, played by Bryce Dallas Howard, who writes best-selling spy novels, and a secret agent named Argylle is her main character. The spy goes on a mission to unravel a global spy syndicate, but there is a twist. Things start to get confusing when her books mirror the actions of a real-life spy organization, and the line between story and reality starts to blur.

Bryce Dallas Howard plays the central character, and Henry Cavill is in the titular role of Argylle. Besides them, it also features Bryan Cranston, Sam Rockwell, Sofia Boutella, Dua Lipa, Ariana DeBose, John Cena, and Samuel L Jackson.
How was its box office performance?
As per Box Office Mojo’s report, the film opened to $17.47 million (domestic). At the North American box office, it earned a total of $41.69 million and $86.53 million in its worldwide collection. Meanwhile, the film was made on an estimated budget of $200 million.

The movie has been produced by Apple Original Films, and as per When To Stream’s X account via The Direct, Argylle will be streaming on Apple TV+ from March 5, 2024.
