Global fashion icon Heart Evangelista made another “furr” statement for her beloved dog Panda Ongpauco-Escudero.
On Instagram, Evangelista shared snaps of Panda wearing one of her precious jewelry and captioned her post as “Heiress” followed by a hashtag aspin club.
Panda was wearing Evangdlistas’ Bulgari Serpenti Viper necklace with a staggering price tag of P10 million, according to the Bulgari Philippines website.

Evangelista has long been an advocate of animal rescue and adoption. Aside from having stray dogs as her pets, she also “fosters” other animals under her care, sending them for adoption once they are in good health.
She is also a long-time ambassador of the Philippine Animal Welfare Society (PAWS). In 2019, she launched her animal welfare facility in Sorsogon, where her husband, Chiz Escudero, was governor.
Also in 2019, Evangelista worked with “Pawssion” Project to provide shelter to a homeless man who cares for stray dogs.
She has been using her wide social media reach to encourage her followers to care for animals, particularly during calamities.
After her dog trended on social media, global fashion icon Heart Evangelista explains why she let her fur baby Panda wear her expensive jewelry.
“Honestly, I love my dogs actually hindi ko naman ‘yun aso, anak ko iyun e. I wanted to set an example na ang aspin na hindi lang naman iyan basta-basta na ginagawang alarm or parang doorbell ng bahay na naka-kulong, so sinuspoil ko talaga siya,” Evangelista said.
As her job requires frequent travel to different parts of the world, Evangelista also shares her plans to bring her fur babies with her.
“In fact ang aking goal talaga is makarating siya sa Paris pero ang nag-stop lang sakin ‘yung quarantine,” she added.
The fashion icon also believes that she can do whatever she wanted with her jewelry which she acquired a long time ago.
“Well, the necklace has been mine since what? Pandemic times so I honestly don’t see anything, I feel like more than anything, it should be an inspiration that you know should treat people around you the same they deserve the best, so honestly I don’t really feel there’s anything that I should do and not do especially I do on the necklace,” she explained.
Evangelista also clarified that she was not throwing any shade at anyone but she also made sure that she “bites in a very sweet way”.
“Yes at the end of the day you know, kailangan naman din minsan palaban ka din, alam ko na rin kung paano kapag hindi ka masyadong palaban talagang natatapakan ka so, I bite now. In a very sweet way, pero masakit,” she said.
