The past few months, Daniel Padilla has been spending quality time with his siblings.

Recently, they went on a trip to Siargao Island. Photos and videos of DJ with his sister hanging out with the locals and even singing in one of the local bars in the island surfaced a few days ago. But Padilla said it was the quiet moments with his siblings that counted the most during that trip.

“’Yung mga moments na nandoon ‘yung mga kapatid ko, and ‘yung mga lessons in life di ba ang dami mong nakukuha kung saan saan,” he said.

Padilla and his ex-girlfriend Kathryn Bernardo confirmed their break-up last November 30, but since then the rumor mill kept on churning countless allegations, speculations on third parties and other issues.

During these tumultuous times in his personal life, Padilla realized who his true and real friends were.

“Itong time zone na ‘to, ang dami ring nagpakilala. So that’s beautiful at least, talagang eye-opening moment ito. Doon mo actually makikita — humanizing moment actually siya — super! Kaya ‘yung mga totoong nandiyan, ang sarap kasama,” he said.

“That’s life and that’s balance. Hindi naman pwede lahat galit lagi, hindi naman pwedeng masaya lang. It’s a perfect balance.”

As for his fans, he said he understands if some of them have decided to leave and unfollow him.

“Kahit dun sa mga nag-move on na sa akin, it’s okay. Valid ‘yung gusto nilang maramdaman. Kung nararamdaman nila ‘yun, nararamdaman nila ‘yun. Hindi ko na sila mapipigilan. And ‘yung sa mga nandiyan pa rin para sa ‘kin, I appreciate them very, very much,” he said.

But with everything that has been said about him and his break-up with Bernardo, one thing is for sure for Padilla.

“Sa lahat ng nangyari, ayoko nang makisabay. Saka parang out ako sa ganyan. Saka ‘yung nangyari, it’s very personal to me. And I don’t appreciate na ang daming nag-chi-chip in. Sabi ko, that’s how it goes, it’s showbiz, baby.”

After acknowledging and thanking Bernado during his contract signing, Padilla also sent his appreciation and respect to her mother Min.

“I forgot to mention also Tita Min. All my respect and my love kay Tita Min. Forever ‘yan,” he said.
