Star Cinema announced on Saturday that the screening date for Kim Chiu and Paulo Avelino’s highly anticipated romantic comedy My Love Will Make You Disappear has been rescheduled. Originally slated for release on 12 February 2025, the film will now debut in cinemas worldwide on 26 March 2025.

“As part of Star Cinema’s commitment to bringing Philippine films to a global audience, we are excited to announce the new playdate for the much-anticipated romantic comedy My Love Will Make You Disappear, starring Kim Chiu and Paulo Avelino,” Star Cinema said in its statement.

The change comes with “new developments and exciting opportunities” to expand the movie’s reach, particularly into the North American market.

“The move comes in light of new developments and exciting opportunities to expand into the North American market. We are happy to share that global theatrical distributor Abramorama and award-winning international entertainment marketing firm Amorette Jones Media Consulting are collaborating again with Star Cinema to bring this beautiful story to even more viewers,” the statement added.

The production team believes the film’s universal appeal has the potential to captivate a broader international audience.

Chiu and Avelino headline the romantic film following their successful work together in the drama series Linlang and the Philippine adaptation of What’s Wrong with Secretary Kim.

Directed by Chad Vidanes, who also directed the local What’s Wrong with Secretary Kim, My Love Will Make You Disappear promises to bring an enchanting story to global audiences.
