Screen veteran Tessie Tomas

Filipino actress, stand-up comedian, and regarded as the original “Queen of Daytime TV,” Tessie Tomas, paid her last respects to the late superstar Nora Aunor at her wake at the Heritage Park in Taguig City on Sunday night, April 20, 2025.

Tomas revealed that she is a big fan of Aunor because of her acting prowess.

“‘Yung impact sa akin ni Ms. Nora Aunor talagang nagsimula nung kasagsagan nung ‘The Superstar, Nora Aunor.’ Pinapanood ko talaga siya sa TV with Kuya Germs every Sunday. Channel 9 ‘yan eh. I’m a big fan of her sa pelikula, ‘Ang Himala’, diba, sobrang ganda noon pati ‘yung ‘Tatlong Taong Walang Diyos’. I admire her for being a natural actress. Hindi na siya kailangang mag-prepare para sa sang eksena, natural na natural,” she said.Lotlot de Leon shares details of wake, burial of mom Nora Aunor | ABS-CBN Entertainment

Tomas said the late film icon is now at peace and that her legacy will be forever written in the hearts of every ‘Noranian’ and the history of Philippine show business.

“Siyempre ang buong bansa pati ang mga OFW all over the world, nagluluksa. Kumbaga parang presidente na rin ng Pilipinas ang nawala. Okay na rin siguro, she is at peace now,” she added.
