MANILA, Philippines — Veteran showbiz columnist Cristy Fermin was shocked to learn an arrest warrant is out for her, stemming from a libel case filed by Bea Alonzo last year.

The Quezon City Regional Trial Court Branch 93 released a warrant of arrest against Cristy and her “Cristy FerMinute” show co-hosts Rommel Villamor and Wendell Alvarez yesterday, July 30. Each individual was also fined P48,000.

Cristy said during a recent episode of “Cristy FerMinute” she was not aware of any warrant.

“Wala akong alam, kailan lumabas? Pakikuha mo nga detalye? Maski abogado ko walang alam, eh,” Cristy said, adding she would attend to the matter immediately.

Bea filed the libel case against Cristy, Rommel, and Wendell last May 2024 in the aftermath of the actress ending her engagement with Dominic Roque.

Cristy allegedly said on her show that Bea had issues with her tax filing and had a labor case allegedly filed against her by a former driver.
