Dolly de Leon has been confirmed as a cast member of the upcoming thriller series “Maximum Pleasure Guaranteed,” although the premiere date is yet to be announced.
De Leon’s agency, CreaZion Studios, confirmed her casting in a press statement where she will take on the role of Detective Sofia Gonzalez. It was also announced that she will be part of the Apple TV+ series as a regular cast member.
“There’s nothing like the prospect of working with people whose work you admire. ‘Hunters,’ ‘Orphan Black,’ and ‘The X-Men!’ I’m beyond excited,” she said.
Produced by David J. Rosen, “Maximum Pleasure Guaranteed” tells the story of a newly divorced mom (Tatiana Maslany) who finds herself “into a world of blackmail, murder, and youth soccer.”
Further details on the storyline, cast members, and premiere date are yet to be revealed.
Earlier this year, de Leon was confirmed to star as Lo and Li in the live-action of “Avatar: The Last Airbender” and “Severino: The First Serial Killer.” She was recently part of the cast of the second season of “Nine Perfect Strangers,” where Nicole Kidman was the lead star.
She was recently the lead in the silent play “Request Sa Radyo,” which she alternated with Lea Salonga. She was also part of notable projects including “A Very Good Girl,” “Dirty Linen,” “Ghostlight,” and “Iti Mapukpukaw,” to name a few.
The actress was catapulted to widespread popularity after starring as Abigail in the 2022 film “Triangle of Sadness,” which earned her a Best Supporting Actress plum from the Guldbagge Awards and the Los Angeles Film Critics Association. She also received nominations from the British Academy Film Awards and the Golden Globe Awards.
