Liza Soberano’s involvement in The Nexus Summit follows her participation in last year’s Asia Summit.

It’s not just an international entertainment career that Liza Soberano is pursuing, but involvement in international organizations as well, as can be seen in one of her most recent posts on social media.

In one of the more recent posts on her social media account, Liza posted multiple photos and a clip of her at The Nexus Summit. In the caption to the post, Liza wrote that the panel she took part in was about something “deeply personal” to her – “children’s rights, and the role film and television play in protecting and empowering the next generation.” She also wrote that she felt “more inspired than ever to use storytelling as a tool for justice, safety, and hope.”

The Nexus Summit describes itself as a “global community founded to bridge communities of wealth and social entrepreneurship.” It has more than 6,000 members from over 70 countries and brings together “investors, social entrepreneurs, philanthropists, and allies to catalyze new leadership and accelerate needed political, societal, indigenous, financial, environmental, and equal justice solutions.” The organization has held 40 summits since its founding in 2011.

This is just the latest summit that Liza has attended in the past few months. Back in October last year, Liza took part in the Milken Institute’s Asia Summit, which was held in Singapore. Some other personalities that attended included The Acolyte‘s Manny Jacinto, Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings‘ Simu Liu, and former British Prime Minister Tony Blair.

It’s not just summits that Liza goes to. Last month, she threw the first pitch for the Dodgers versus Mets game for “Filipino Heritage Night,” with photos posted on both hers and the Dodgers’ official Instagram account.

In the caption to Liza’s post, she wrote that she was honored to be among all her kababayans but was also nervous about throwing the first pitch.
