Mandy, the current wife of Wang Xiaofei (Barbie Hsu’s ex-husband), stated that she and her family have been extremely exhausted in recent days due to online attacks and cyberbullying.

Barbie Hsu’s sudden passing has left an immense sorrow among fans across Asia. Her family confirmed that she passed away due to the flu and pneumonia.

On March 4, Mandy (Ma Xiaomai), the current wife of Wang Xiaofei, gave an interview to Taiwanese media. In the interview, she expressed her hope that people would stop cyberbullying her husband and his children from his previous marriage with Barbie Hsu.

Through choked sobs, Mandy said:
“I don’t know if you have good or bad intentions, if you will distort my words or harbor hostility… but I am truly exhausted. Numerous media outlets are constantly following us outside our home. The two children have lost their mother, and all we can do is take care of them as best we can.”

“If people think we have done something wrong, if you want to blame, complain, or be angry, direct it all at me. Come to me and scold me, but please do not target my husband, his children, or the deceased.”

Mandy also clarified that she had no animosity towards Barbie Hsu and that they occasionally stayed in contact regarding the children. She further shared that her husband is currently unstable, and she completely understands:

“She was the mother of his children. Although they divorced and had many conflicts, now that she has passed, it is the family who suffers the most. As for me, I vaguely feel like I have done something wrong, but I am certain that I never interfered in their marriage. From dating to marriage, neither I nor my husband got involved in anyone else’s relationship.”

At the end of the interview, Mandy once again pleaded with the public to stop cyberbullying:
“No matter what, they (netizens) will misunderstand whatever I say. I am truly troubled and I beg you all to stop, please!

Xiaofei does not want to say these things, so I am speaking on his behalf. In this situation, anyone would feel heartbroken… I have never interfered in their past. No matter what troubles or misunderstandings they had, the deceased is the one who deserves the most respect, and we honor her— that’s all.”

It is known that in January 2024, Wang Xiaofei publicly announced that he was dating Ma Xiaomai and officially proposed in March of the same year. By May, the two had registered their marriage.

Previously, Barbie Hsu had unilaterally filed for divorce from Wang Xiaofei after ten years of marriage. The divorce was finalized at the end of 2021, but the two engaged in public disputes until the matter was officially settled in July 2024. Barbie Hsu was granted custody of their two children, while Wang Xiaofei paid his ex-wife 100,000 New Taiwan Dollars (over $3,000) per month for child support.

Barbie Hsu claimed that she endured much suffering during her ten-year marriage to the Beijing tycoon:
“It wasn’t just infidelity—Wang Xiaofei even hit me with a thick book cover while I was pregnant.”

The truth about her life as a wealthy man’s wife gradually surfaced. Before passing away at the age of 48 due to Japanese flu and pneumonia, Barbie Hsu had suffered two miscarriages and had been diagnosed with epilepsy, depression, and chronic heart disease.

Additionally, the actress also alleged that Zhang Lan (Wang Xiaofei’s mother) was aware of her son’s infidelity but turned a blind eye, even maintaining relations with his mistress.
