Previously, the cast of the Taiwanese version of Meteor Garden also expressed their grief upon hearing the sad news. Actor Ken Chu recalled many fond memories of her.

Actor Jerry Yan wrote:
“Thank you, life, for allowing me to meet you during the carefree years of our youth. You once told me to live as if today were the last day of life. I hope that now you can slow down. And in the world beyond, you will no longer have sorrow or worries and will truly find peace.”

Actress and singer Rainie Yang, who played Shan Cai’s best friend, was also shocked by Barbie Hsu’s passing. On Weibo, she wrote:
“Barbie was my benefactor, a kind and chivalrous senior. Whether in work or in life, she always gave me immense support. Barbie, thank you. I will forever remember and love you. Someone, please tell me this is just a dream and not real.”

Wang Yue, who played the mother of Shan Cai, was also stunned and found it hard to accept the tragic news of Barbie Hsu’s passing. The two actresses became close friends after filming Meteor Garden, and in real life, they continued to call each other “mother” and “daughter” even after the drama ended.

On February 5, Fan Bingbing also expressed her sorrow over the Taiwanese star’s passing. She once collaborated with Barbie Hsu in the film Future X-Cops (2010). Fan Bingbing shared a radiant image of Barbie Hsu attending Jackie Chan’s Charity Race in 2004, where she wore a racing suit and displayed a bright, youthful smile. The photo moved many viewers to tears.

“A beautiful girl who always used her kindness to bring light to the world! I will never forget the first time I met you—your innocent smile sparkled in your eyes… Go to heaven and become a joyful fairy! There, you will have no worries, only peace,” Fan Bingbing wrote.
