Red, whose real name was Rodwick, was supposed to mark his 51st birthday, today, May 30.

“It is hard to find the words right now to say that this has been the most difficult time I have ever gone through my whole life,” Sandy wrote. “To be greeted ‘happy birthday’ and ‘sorry for your loss’ at the same time three consecutive days of what was supposed to be a celebration full of birthdays. May was our month! 5th, 28th, 29th and 30th.”

“My husband suddenly passed away the morning of Tuesday, May 27th. To those who knew him from his early acting days, he was ‘Kiko,’ but to our three kids and I he was simply Daddy/Dada. Today would have been his 51st birthday,” she added.

Details regarding the cause of Red’s death was not disclosed in the post.

Meanwhile, Sandy has appealed to the public for her family’s privacy as they deal with her husband’s demise.

“Please keep our family in your thoughts and prayers. I would kindly request our need for privacy at this time as we navigate this difficult journey,” she appealed.

Details regarding the memorial services have yet to be released by the family.

Red was a ’90s heartthrob who gained prominence due to his portrayal of his role Kiko in the youth-oriented show T.G.I.S.

Among his batchmates in the show were actress-turned-politician Angelu de Leon, Bobby Andrews, and Rica Paralejo, among others.

Red’s co-star in the 90’s youth oriented series, Angelu, also confirmed the sad news to ABS-CBN News.

“We’re all still shocked,” said Angelu.
