“Ginive up ko yung career ko para sa mga anak ko, especially since 24/7 ako nakabantay nung may Kathryn na pumasok sa industry natin,” she told MJ, earning praise from netizens online.

Mommy Min also recalled how Kathryn was already a “superstar” in their eyes even as a child.

She became emotional as she reminisced about the time they received an award in Los Angeles, which was a proud moment for their family, “Dati nahiya ako eh, pero bata pa lang siya, syempre superstar na tawag namin sa kanya. Nung naka-receive kami ng award sa LA, talagang super naiyak ako dun kaya nung in-award-an siya, syempre super proud ako na mommy.”

As Kathryn continues to evolve in her career and personal life, Mommy Min proudly acknowledged her daughter’s strength and independence, touching the hearts of fans online.

“Ngayon, si Kathryn, independent na siya. I can say na… strong ang anak ko. Yan si Kathryn”

When asked about Kathryn’s love life, Mommy Min revealed that she allows her daughter to make her own decisions while still offering motherly guidance when necessary and if it is needed.

“Yes. Hinahayaan ko lang siya pero andiyan pa rin ako sa side na, bulong bulong, ‘Hindi tama yan, hindi okay yan’ yung mga ganun ba,” Mommy Min honestly confessed to MJ during the interview.

At one point, when asked if Kathryn has a lot of suitors, Mommy Min claimed, “Marami. Syempre naman! Ang pangit ba naman ng anak ko kung walang manliligaw?” with a hearty laughter.

Kathryn Bernardo is a Filipina actress, model, and entrepreneur, widely regarded as one of the biggest stars in the Philippine entertainment industry. She rose to fame as a child star and became one of the most sought-after leading ladies of her generation.
