Ervic Vijandre, an actor-turned-politician, has currently been trending on social media after he was accused by his brother of physical assault.

On Thursday, February 27, his brother, Erwin, took to his Facebook page to show photos of his swollen and bruised face from New Year’s Eve.

Along with these photos was a screenshot of Ervic’s comment greeting Erwin on his birthday.

“T*ngin*, seryoso ka ba? More blessing? Baka di mo alam kung gaanong trauma ginawa mo sa pamilya ko? Lalo na sa mga anak ko,” Erwin wrote as his response to Ervic’s greeting for him.

In the report of Inquirer, Erwin’s wife, Jaye, even published a separate post about the alleged incident that just happened on New Year’s Eve.

“We kept quiet even though he never asked how Erwin was,” Jaye began, saying her husband was asked not to press charges against his brother.

 

“He ONLY said sorry when we were at the police station and [the] hall of justice, asking Erwin to not press charges on him. Erwin gave him the favor and still protected his ‘good’ image.”

Meanwhile, in the report of Manila Bulletin, they mentioned that Jaye and Erwin only went public to simply ‘put an end’ to the hypocrisy of Ervic.

As of this writing, Ervic has yet to address, confirm, or even deny the allegations against him.

It is worth noting, however, that in February of 2016, GMA News reported that Ervic figured in an altercation with a 26-year-old man in Pasay City.

The other man was named Genesis Aniag, who recalled his altercation with the basketball player.

“Lumapit siya sa akin, sinabi niya sakin, ikaw ba si Gen Aniag? Nung sinabi ko na ako si Gen Aniag, bigla niya na kong inupakan na hindi ko alam kung anong dahilan niya,” Aniag said.
