This came weeks after the controversy involving him and South Korean actress Kim Sae-ron.

During the press conference, Kim Soo-hyun couldn’t hold back his tears as he apologized for everything that had happened.

He also admitted to dating Kim Sae-ron but emphasized that their relationship began when the actress was already of legal age.

Kim Soo-hyun also said he’s sorry for denying the dating allegations between them. According to the South Korean superstar, he did it so his ongoing K-drama ‘Queen of Tears’ wouldn’t be affected.

“I consider myself a coward. I have always been too preoccupied with holding on to what I have. I couldn’t even trust the goodwill that came my way, always fearing loss, harm and running away, denying everything. That’s why it took me so long to stand here today,” Kim Soo-hyun said, translated by Korea JoongAng Daily, a Korean news site.

Kim Soo-hyun is a South Korean actor known for his roles in hit dramas like ‘My Love from the Star,’ ‘Moon Embracing the Sun,’ and ‘It’s Okay to Not Be Okay.’ He gained massive popularity across Asia and is one of the highest-paid actors in South Korea. Aside from acting, he has also been a sought-after brand ambassador for various international brands. His versatility and strong performances have earned him numerous awards and a loyal global fanbase.

Kim Soo-hyun’s agency, Gold Medalist, released an official statement regarding the allegations made by Garo Sero Institute and confirmed that Kim Soo-hyun and Kim Sae-ron were in a relationship, but only when she was of legal age. Gold Medalist strongly denied the accusations from Garo Sero Institute, which they claim are harming Kim Soo-hyun’s mental health. The agency confirmed that Kim Soo-hyun and Kim Sae-ron were in a relationship from the summer of 2019 to the fall of 2020, after Kim Sae-ron had legally become an adult. Gold Medalist also called for an end to the spread of false information and urged the public to respect the private lives of both actors.

In another report, Kim Soo Hyun, a South Korean actor, has firmly denied recent allegations through his agency. Gold Medalist, the actor’s agency, denied the claims made by YouTube channel, Hoverlab Inc. They alleged that Kim Soo Hyun and Kim Sae Ron were involved in a six-year relationship.
