Kim Chiu defies a love curse with Paulo Avelino in ‘My Love Will Make You Disappear’ official trailer
There’s no slowing down Kim Chiu and Paulo Avelino’s kilig overload now that the “My Love Will Make You Disappear” official trailer has finally arrived!
Star Cinema released the official trailer for KimPau’s big screen debut on Saturday, February 15. Now, there are more juicy details to dive into about Kim and Paulo’s characters, especially after they left us hanging with their electric almost kiss in the film’s teaser from December 2024!
The trailer opens with the adorable Cookie — the guinea pig voiced by none other than Melai Cantiveros — as she introduces her owner and best friend Sari, played by Kim.
The bubbly Sari is convinced that she’s forever “meant to be single” considering that everyone she’s ever loved and kissed has mysteriously disappeared. But just as she’s sworn off love, a mysterious new face shows up in Tahanan Homes!
Enter: Paulo’s Jolo! Beneath his grumpy facade seems to be a troubled past he wishes to disappear from. But when he hears of Sari’s supposed curse, he then receives a lightbulb, or rather, a lightning moment!
Jolo reintroduces himself with a fresh new look to Sari, later taking her on a series of romantic encounters. Could Jolo be the one to sweep Sari off her feet?
With Sari finally revealing her innermost desires when it comes to relationships, she ultimately gets closer to Jolo in more ways than one! After her tearful rant to Jolo, the trailer cuts to Sari waking up with the man in her bedroom, leaving her wondering what went down the night before.
And when we said kilig overload, KimPau meant it, alright! The two also shared longing stares in the trailer, with one scene taking place under the rain in true romcom fashion.
Helmed by Chad Vidanes in his feature film directorial debut, “My Love Will Make You Disappear” also credits Patrick Valencia and Isabella Policarpio as its screenwriters as well as Prime Cruz for its story. The project also serves as Direk Chad’s second collaboration with KimPau since their hit 2024 series, “What’s Wrong with Secretary Kim”.
