Aljur Abrenica and AJ Raval shared that building their own family is part of their plan as a couple but emphasized that their priority right now is their careers and the actor’s two sons from his first marriage with actress Kylie Padilla.

The celebrity couple first belied the claims of their supposed “love child,” which surfaced after the pair was spotted with a little girl at an event. Raval has been the center of pregnancy rumors since the confirmation of her relationship with Abrenica in 2022.

“First of all, hindi po ako taon-taong buntis (First of all, I’m not pregnant every year). Parang yearly na lang po akong buntis (It’s like I’m pregnant every year),” Raval told Julius Babao in an interview.

Raval remarked that if ever she got pregnant, she would consider it a “blessing.”

“Siguro po kung mabubuntis man ako ngayon. Magalit man ‘yung maraming tao ako pa rin po ‘yung pinaka masayang tao sa buong mundo,” she expressed.

(Maybe if I get pregnant now. Even if many people will get angry, I would still be the happiest person in the whole world, if that’s the case.)

When asked about her thoughts on settling down with Abrenica, the 23-year-old actress shared that they have talked about it.

“Napaguusapan pero career muna ngayon. Iprioritize muna dapat ng iprioritize ayusin muna dapat ang ayusin. Isecure muna lahat. Then siguro okay na kami magsama,” she said.

(It’s been discussed but career first now. Some things must be prioritized, fixed, and secured first. Then maybe by then, it’s okay for us to settle.)

Meanwhile, in a separate one-on-one, Abrenica stressed that they don’t have a child just yet, “Wala po, bakit tayo icchismis na may anak. Ang bilis naman lumaki ng bata.”

(No, why would people make up the claims that we have children and the child grew up fast.)

The “StarStruck” alum echoed Raval’s statement about settling down but affirmed that their focus is on his children and their separate careers.

“Yeah, napag-uusapan rin namin. Alam mo si AJ, she’s very supportive, especially pag dating sakin kung paano ko alagaan ‘yung mga bata. Sometimes siya pa nga ‘yung nakakakita ng mga ano, ‘Alam mo ba ganto hilig ng mga anak mo’ kasi minsan hindi ko nakikita,” shared Abrenica.

“[Pero] ang focus ngayon ‘yung mga bata. Si AJ, marami pang pweeng mangyari sa career niya,” added the actor.
