Celebrities showed their love for newlyweds, Kapamilya actor Adrian Lindayag and his partner Michael Dychiao, following his announcement of their wedding on social media on Friday, June 13.

 

Adrian’s wedding, which happened during Pride Month, has captured the hearts of many as they proved that “love wins” indeed.

The actor made the announcement by sharing some of their romantic photos, wherein they were wearing traditional Barong at the iconic Grand Central Terminal in New York City in the United States.

 “It’s official: We’re MARRIED!!!,” Adrian captioned his post.

Television host Jervi Wrightson or Kaladkaren, who is also in a happy marriage with her husband Luke, expressed her congratulatory message for the couple.

“Yessss! Congratulations to the both of you! Love wins!” she commented.

FPJ’s Batang Quiapo star Cherry Pie Picache also expressed her happiness for the Kapamilya actor.

“Oh meeennnn!!!!! BEST WISHES!!!! Sooo happy for you dear!!!! Love wins!,” she wrote.

Pinoy Big Brother host Bianca Gonzalez took the chance to celebrate the couple’s wedding.

“So happy for youuu!!! Congratulations to the newlyweds!!!,” she commented.

Some of Adrian’s co-stars in the hit television drama series Kadenang Ginto including Dimples Romana, Criza Taa and Kat Galang also expressed their support for his wedding.

Other celebrities who expressed their congratulatory messages include Charlie Dizon, Maris Racal, Jasmin Curtis-Smith, Barbie Imperial, Migs Almendras, Elisse Joson, Miggy Jimenez, Kobie Brown, Kim Molina, Ria Atayde-Marudo, Chie Filomeno, Bong Gonzales, Benedix Ramos, Adrian Alandy, and director Antoinette Jadaone, among others.

Adrian has been an exceptional actor both in theatre and television worlds, serving as a representative of the LGBTQIA+ community.

Some of his most notable works include the acclaimed Boys Love (BL) movie The Boy Foretold by the Stars, and the digital series Love Beneath the Stars and Marahuyo Project.

As an active advocate of HIV-AIDS awareness, Adrian revealed that he was diagnosed as HIV-positive in 2017. He made it public for the first time in a press conference in 2024.

Adrian told his story in hopes to break the stigma and serve as an inspiration to others.

 “I’ve been living in shame for the past few years and I just got tired of it. I want to motivate them to get tested,” he said.

“Knowledge is power. You can live a full life and be a person like me, you would not even know. I take a pill and I took that test. I have friends who passed away from this disease because they were so scared to get themselves tested and visit the clinics. But these pills are free. Younger people do not have to die anymore,” he added.
