Angelu de Leon’s daughter graduates cum laude

On Instagram, De Leon shared photos of her family with daughter Loise, who graduated cum laude from the Ateneo de Manila University.

“To my dear Loise, you deserve the best life has to offer because you do not settle for anything less than you deserve. Graduating cum laude in your class just goes to prove that. Buti na lang mana ka sa akin. Kidding aside, I cannot take the credit because we saw how hard you worked to achieve that. Congratulations again my love! We’re proud of you! We’ll always be here to cheer for you. May God continue to bless and guide you through the next chapter of your life. We love you,” De Leon wrote.

Loise is De Leon’s daughter with Jojo Manlongat.

Aside from Loise, De Leon also has a daughter with actor Joko Diaz. The actress also has a son, Rafa, with husband Wowie Rivera.

Julia Montes proud as Batang Quiapo, Saving Grace go global

From unbeatable ratings to international recognition, ABS-CBN’s “FPJ’s Batang Quiapo” continues to make history as it will now reach 41 countries across Africa.

The series, which had been amassing millions of viewers since its pilot in 2023, will be airing through Startimes as “Gangs of Manila.”

Beyond FPJ’s Batang Quiapo, ABS-CBN continues to expand its global reach with “Saving Grace,” which will be shown in Africa in September.

“Imagine, ibang country na-appreciate. Dapat tayong Filipino, mahalin pa natin kultura natin. ‘Wag natin bitawan, ‘wag natin pabayaan kasi yun minamahal ng iba sa atin,” said “Saving Grace” star Julia Montes on Saturday after the launch of her newest business venture, Swiss Proli Lean Quick Gummies, in Taguig.

To mark the historic feat, Montes and Coco Martin will head to Kenya for the first ever “Kapamilya Live in Africa,” which will take place at the Nairobi Cinema on June 28.

This marks the first time that ABS-CBN is bringing its Kapamilya stars to Kenya.

“Nakaka-excite. Pasasalamat na rin iyon sa kanila kasi from the beginning iba tumangkilik na,” she said.

ABS-CBN’s programs have been airing in Africa since 2003. Among the recent ABS-CBN titles that have aired in different African countries are “Can’t Buy Me Love,” “Lavender Fields,” “What’s Wrong with Secretary Kim,” and “The Broken Marriage Vow.”

Meanwhile, “FPJ’s Ang Probinsyano,” known abroad as “Brothers,” aired in Africa from 2021 to 2023.

“Isa pa yun sa nakaka proud bilang pilipino kasi kilala tayo bilang magaling gumawa teleserye. ang sarap maging parte ng ganyang milestone ng isang company,” said Montes.
