Palace Press Officer Claire Castro defends Vice Ganda’s ‘jet ski holiday’ joke

 

Actor and TV host Vice Ganda appeared to have found an ally in Palace Press Officer Claire Castro regarding his ‘jetski’ joke during the Super Divas: The Concert with Regine Velasquez-Alcasid.

During the concert, Vice said:

“Nothing beats a jet ski holiday, right now from Manila to the West Philippine Sea via jetski. Get unlimited water bombing from Chinese vessels and a free trip to The Hague by the ICC.

Promo applies to DDS only. Pinklawans and BBMs are prohibited.”

Not everyone was amused by Vice’s remarks. Some criticized him for being insensitive with his joke.

During a briefing, Atty. Castro shared her thoughts on the matter:

“Unang-una kasi, concert naman yun. Parang show naman yun. So, hindi kailangang maging balat-sibuyas ang sinuman.” said Atty. Castro.

“At ito naman talaga ay nangyari. Dyinok ni dating Pangulong Duterte yung tungkol sa jet ski. Sinabi pa niya na ang naniwala sa kanya sa sinabi niyang sasakay siya sa jet ski para sa West Philippine Sea, sinabi niyang stupid.” Atty. Castro added.
