Dina Bonnevie Opens Her Home for Pregnant Daughter Danica: A Mother’s Love in Action
Veteran actress Dina Bonnevie has expressed her desire for her daughter, Danica Sotto-Pingris, to move in with her during her pregnancy. Known for being a hands-on and doting mother, Dina wants to ensure Danica’s health and well-being while she awaits the arrival of her baby.
In a heartfelt interview, Dina revealed the delicate condition of Danica’s pregnancy during the early months. “The first two months, medyo hindi siya puwedeng kumilos. Pinagbawalan siya ng doctor—complete bed rest,” Dina shared during a feature on Showbiz Central. Although Danica is now in a more stable condition, Dina insists that having her daughter close will ease her worries and help ensure a smooth pregnancy.
“I just want her to have a healthy pregnancy. Nagwu-worry ako,” Dina said. She also shared that Danica has been more affectionate and reliant on her lately, jokingly saying, “Maya’t-maya hinahanap niya ako. Para siyang teenager ulit.”
Danica, who is happily married to professional basketball player Marc Pingris, has welcomed her mother’s doting care with open arms. The bond between mother and daughter has grown even stronger during this significant time in their lives.

On Oyo Boy and His Plans
When asked about the possibility of her son Oyo Boy settling down soon, Dina made her feelings clear in a lighthearted manner. “Oyo, please lang, hindi ako nagmamadali,” she joked, emphasizing that she’s not in a rush for her son to start his own family.
Love and Life Lessons
As for her own love life, Dina laughed off the idea of marriage for herself. “Uso pa ba ‘yon sa ganitong edad?” she quipped. Reflecting on her past relationships, including her marriages to Vic Sotto and an American businessman, Dina admitted that she’s leaving her personal happiness in God’s hands.
Her children, however, have a different take, often encouraging her to give love another chance. Dina humorously recounted, “Sabi nila, ‘Mommy, magpakasal ka na.’ Pero nung una n’yong sinabi ‘yan, hindi naging maganda ang buhay ko!”
