Former Pinoy Big Brother Gen 11 housemate Jarren Garcia expressed his disbelief over the close friendship he now shares with Unkabogable Star Vice Ganda.

In an exclusive interview with PUSH, Jarren shared that he never imagined becoming friends with the Kapamilya host, as he had previously only watched Vice on screen.

“I have the same reaction as people watching because it’s so insane to be friends and being close to the one and only Meme Vice,” Jarren shared.

“I remember when I was younger, I used to watch his movies and find it so funny and now doing amazing for himself,” he added.

“I’m friends with him, which is an insane thing. Everything was so crazy.”

In a previous episode of It’s Showtime last January 10, Vice revealed that Jarren is his new “Ryan Bang,” whom he treats like his son.

“Si Jarren ang bago kong Ryan Bang. Nagiisa si Ryan Bang, kaya niya na ‘yan pero si Jarren magmula noong nagmeet kami, naging magkaibigan kami, parang si Ryan, lagi na kaming magkasama. Hanggang sa pagkain ng sisig, lagi na kaming magkasamang dalawa,” Vice shared during Jarren’s guest appearance in the Kapamilya noontime show.

“Ito ang bagong kapatid ni Ryan Bang,” he expressed.

Fans expressed happiness for Jarren and Vice’s friendship.

“’Kaw talaga ang legit na charming crooner Jarren para makuha ang loob at pagmamahal ng isang Vice Ganda!! waa you deserved all the love mwua,” a fan posted on X (formerly Twitter).

Another one remarked, “Another story of how THEE Vice Ganda is so fond of Jarren. having this kind of bond already? Jarren is just so lovable. I’m too soft for this friendship :((.”

Jarren also expressed appreciation for fans who have been showing their support to him.

Jarren admitted that he is still not used to the loud cheers that he receives from fans whenever he performs on stage or meets them.

“When I hear the cheers of the fans for me, I just want to know who they were cheering for because it doesn’t always feel like it’s cheering for me because I feel like there’s someone backstage who they were cheering for,” Jarren shyly said.

“It’s something I need to get used to but I’m so happy because it makes me feel appreciated and it makes me know that I’m doing something right,” he added.

“It makes me feel so happy.”

Meanwhile, Jarren is set to drop his upcoming self-titled debut album on February 7. He will also have an album launch and fan meeting event on February 8 at SM Sky Dome in Quezon City.
