Kapuso actress Ashley Ortega, 25, describes her go-to look as simple, fresh, and very feminine.

This translates not just in her effortlessly chic OOTD but even her toned-down makeup.

At the launch of Acqua dell’Elba and Buti Pelletierre at Corso Como 88 store in One Ayala Mall, she stands out in her shoulder-baring bow top by Patty Ang and striped pants.

Speaking to PEP.ph (Philippine Entertainment Portal), Ashley proudly says, “I did my own makeup today!

“I just wanted a fresh look kasi maaga pa naman, 4PM [yung event], e.”

Describing how she keeps her makeup simple, she elaborates, “Actually, when I do my own make-up, fresh make-up lang din.

“Kasi, I always want the clean girl look. Para ano lang, bagong gising, bagong ligo, gano’n.”

To cop her look, Ashley reveals the makeup brands she used for the event.

“So, usually, yung concealer na ginagamit ko yung sa Nars. Kasi magaling sila mag-blur ng mga blemishes and mga highlights.

“Nars din yung blush-on ko now. Yung Orgasm shade, that’s why may konting sparkle,” says the Kapuso actress, referring to her peachy-pink blush.

She elevates her look by adding a little bit of sparkle on her eyes.

Explaining, “Kasi yung eyes ko medyo droopy, e. To make it more alive and more awake, I add a little bit of sparkle.

“And then, my eyeshadow, it’s a Korean brand, e, Bare and Bliss. I’m an ambassador of Bare and Bliss also.”

Ashley goes on to say that she simply brushed her brows, then curled and added mascara on her lashes to emphasize her eyes.

A believer of “my lips but better,” she completes her fresh look with cult-favorite pinkish nude lippie, Pillow Talk by Charlotte Tilburry.

ASHLEY ORTEGA GOES FOR A FRESH SCENT

PEP interviewed Ashley at Corso Como 88 store at One Ayala Mall in Makati City on September 24, 2024.

As a celebity guest at the event, she checks out luxury perfume brand Acqua dell’Elb and artisan leather bag brand Buti Pelletierre, which are both crafted in Italy.

She tells PEP that she instantly liked how the scent from Acqua dell’Elb goes with her clean-girl look.

“It’s actually my scent kasi mahilig ako sa mga fresh, powdery scents. And I think that’s the perfect scent for me.

“It’s a fresh scent. And, as I said, I’m the type of girl kasi na very feminine, very gorgeous. So, I think it suits me.

“And the bag, actually, perfect yan pang summer. So, right now, I have a phase where I feel like I always wear big bags. So, I think perfect rin yan sa akin.”

ASHLEY ORTEGA SKINCARE REGIMEN

Sharing more of her beauty essentials, Ashley tells PEP that she follows the 8-step Korean skincare nighttime regimen.

Explaining, “So, I double cleanse. I use a cleansing oil, tapos, face wash. And then, I use a toner.
Essence toner.

“Tapos, I put serum for my blemishes.

“May isa pa ako serum na nilalagay. Midnight Kiehl’s Recovery Serum for night repair.

“And the moisturizer that I actually use is just aloe vera. So, medyo natural lahat.

“Actually, mga Korean products, except for Kiehl’s Midnight Recovery because that’s like a holy grail to me. Ever since before pa [ginagamit ko na].”

Ashley says she has been following this routine since January this year.

“Last year, sobrang konti lang din nilalagay ko. Parang basically a toner, a serum, and a moisturizer.

“Pero nakikita ko kasi yung mga friends ko na sobrang clear and poreless. And I always ask them, what’s their skincare?

“Sabi nila yung Korean skincare.”

While she admits that it’s more expensive to be using a lot of products, Ashley says it works for her so far.

“When I did it, parang feeling ko rin naman, nagiging, well, hindi ko pa na-achieve yung super glass skin, but it’s clear and fresh,” she concludes.
