Before rising to fame as a content creator, Bea Borres appeared on television in 2018 as one of Andrea Brillantes’s friends in Kadenang Ginto.

But she did a “vanishing act” from the television scene afterwards.

Her reason? She chose to focus on her education.

Bea discussed this during her interview and selected press members at her introduction as the new face of Dear Face Strawberries & Cream, held on July 5, 2025, at Seltsam in Makati City.

She recently considered making a comeback but decided to postpone it until she completes her college education.

“Actually, I was supposed to, kasi nag-sign na ako ng contract, but then kasi, mas pinili kong mag-study,” Bea said.

“Kasi it’s already my fourth year na, and I really wanna focus on my school.”

Bea is pursuing a degree in Interdisciplinary Studies at Ateneo de Manila University in Quezon City.

She added, “Magti-thesis na ako. Hopefully, last year ko na ito. If I can do it kasi, I kind of went on over load, e.

“I promised my parents kasi na I will graduate. So, uunahin ko muna yung pag-graduate.”

Besides, she realized that what’s meant to be will happen in its own time.

“Actually, yung time ng Kadenang Ginto, pinili ko yung career ko. So parang I learned from it already. If para sa iyo, para sa iyo talaga siya.”

BEA BORRES: CONTENT CREATOR

Bea has continued giving glimpses of her life through social media.

“Kaya ko pinili mas mag-focus sa content creation kasi, mas nakaka-connect talaga ako with people.

“Ang saya-saya kasi whenever they approach me.”

Creating content has given her a renewed sense of purpose.

“May nag-approach sa akin one time na mom… kasi usually yung audience ko talaga, young women.

“But then, a mother approached me, and then she was like, ‘Oh my gosh, you know what? You give me so much joy.’

“Like, ‘Nanay na ako, pero natutuwa akong panoorin ka.’ Kaya, I really love what I’m doing.”

When asked about balancing academics and content creation, Bea said it has seamlessly fit into her routine because she enjoys doing both.

In her words: “I think kaya ko siya naba-balance sa studies ko because I love what I’m doing. And I also love being a student. And I also align my content with being a student.”

But isn’t she also exposing herself to criticism and negativity from bashers?

She said, “Honestly, at this point, I’m like very sanay na, believe it or not. Of course, there are times that I want to patol. And there are times that I still patol.

“But most of the time, ang dami ko na pinagdaanan sa life. Like, you can’t hurt me anymore.

“I’ve already experienced the worst. People calling me ugly or saying mean things to me without even knowing me.

“It really doesn’t affect me that much anymore.”

BUSINESS JOURNEY

Bea recently embarked on a business venture, teaming up with Dear Face, founded by Jonah Sison-Ramos, for its new product, Beauty Milk Strawberries & Cream.

She also serves as the brand ambassador.

The young lady took pride in actively participating in product development and shaping its creative direction.

She expounded: “Before I endorse a product talaga, tini-test ko talaga siya.

“And pag nagustuhan ko talaga siya, and kung effective talaga siya sa akin, that’s the time I say yes to the brand.

“And yun din yung time na pino-promote ko talaga siya.

“So, I don’t just accept brands, for, you know, kasi they tap me. But I really use it. I’m really confident kasi na ginagamit ko talaga yung mga pinu-promote or ine-endorse.

“Actually, I think sobrang sinuwerte talaga ako sa kay Miss J kasi not everyone has this opportunity to do so.

“So thank you, thank you po so much Miss J. for choosing me.”

As a newcomer to the business, Bea said she looks up to Jonah as a mentor.

When asked about a key takeaway she has learned from her so far, Bea replied: “I think yung pinaka-important na nali-learn ko sa kanya or something that I would like to share na it’s really important to know and love what you do.

“Kasi magre-reflect talaga yun. Kasi makikita mo, mafi-feel mo, siyempre, if you don’t like what you’re doing, hindi ka mamo-motivate sa mga stuff.”
