Julia Montes gets Valentine’s Day message from dad
Julia Montes couldn’t help but gush about this year’s Valentine’s Day — after all, it is the first one she’ll be celebrating after finally meeting her estranged biological father.
On her Instagram account on Tuesday, the actress shared an online message she received from her German dad Martin Schnittka.
“My forever,” she wrote as the caption. “First Valentine ka-message si Papa. Aminin ko nahihiya ako i-message siya kaya everytime na mine-message niya ko ang saya at ang sarap tawaging daughter.”
Schnittka is currently based in Germany. Montes first met him back in December through the help of her fans.
She said she had already forgiven her father for abandoning her and her mom when she was young.
Recounting a conversation they had, she said: “Sabi ko sa kanya, ‘Hindi ako galit, papa. Super thankful ako kung ano ‘yung nangyari sa atin.
Sobrang blessed lang natin na nagkaroon tayo ng chance na magkita ulit. Kung ano po ako ngayon, dahil rin po iyon sa iyo.”
Montes has already voiced out her plans to visit her father in Germany, saying that she also wants to reunite with her half-siblings.
