She is fondly called by many of her fans by her “Meteor Garden” character, “Shan Cai.”

It can be recalled that news about Barbie’s death shocked many in the entertainment industry, particularly in Asia.

Earlier, many thought it was all fake news, however, it all became reality when Barbie’s sister came out with a statement and confirmed the sad news.

In her post, Kim revealed that she’s a fan of “Meteor Garden” and would always hurry home from school just so she can watch the series.

“OMG!!!!!!😱😱😱 naalala ko after school magmamadali ako umuwi para mapanood lang ang meteor garden, pag di ko na maabutan makikinood ako sa karinderya sa labas ng school naming,” Kim said in her X post.

She then expressed her love and gratitude for Barbie, thanking her for giving color to her childhood.

“OMG!!!! I love you SanChai!!!! May you rest in peace! Thank you sa makulay namin childhood. Pigtail braids!” Kim said.

Kim Chiu is a Filipina-Chinese actress and television host. She broke through in showbiz after becoming a winner in Pinoy Big Brother. She was born on April 19, 1990, in Cebu City to Chinese businessman William Chiu and Louella Yap. Kim is also known as the ‘Chinita Princess’ and was once hailed as the ‘Princess of Philippine Movies and TV.’

Louise Delos Reyes has taken to social media to react to the heartbreaking news about Barbie Hsu, who was best known for playing Shan Cai in the 2001 Taiwan TV drama series ‘Meteor Garden.’

The Taiwanese actress succumbed to pneumonia after getting it during their Japan tour for the Chinese New Year period, her family confirmed. She was 48 years old.

In a post on Instagram Stories, Louise shared @fttmph’s art card regarding Barbie’s untimely passing.

The Filipina actress likewise expressed how heartbroken she is because of the sad news.

“My millennial heart is grieving right now,” Louise mournfully wrote in the on-screen caption.

She took to Instagram Stories to express sadness over the heartbreaking news.

In one of her posts, Alex wrote, “My San Cai!!!! Rest in peace.”

“Thinking how would Dao Ming Su feel [crying emoji],” she added.

“My obsession with Meteor Garden is real,” the Pinay actress-vlogger wrote in the caption.
