Leon Barretto shared an emotional tribute to his sister Claudia Barretto as she begins a new chapter in her life—marriage to longtime partner Basti Lorenzo.

On his social media page, Leon expressed disbelief that his older sister is now married.

“My Claui just got married… still can’t believe i’m saying that,” he said.

Leon reflected on their childhood, recalling how they used to clash but eventually grew into each other’s confidants.

“When we were young, it was almost automatic how we’d bump heads. but as time went on, we became each other’s confidant and go-to person,” he added. “i’m truly grateful for how close we’ve become—knowing everything about each other without judgment, only love and comfort.”

Leon also paid tribute to Claudia’s influence on his life, alongside their mother and older sisters Julia and Dani.

“i hope you know you also raised me in so many ways to become a better man. you taught me how to talk to girls properly, how to be a gentleman, how to respect the people around me, and so much more. you’ve guided me toward the right path and passed on life lessons i’ll forever hold and remember,” Leon stated.

Expressing admiration for his sister’s personality, he went on: “your independence, intelligence, and strength are so admirable, claui. the love you give to your family and friends is unmatched.”

Now that she will be taking a new path as a wife and building her own family, Leon had a special wish for his “Claui.”

“With that, my only wish for you is to be loved the same way you love—so deeply, so genuinely,” he continued.

Leon also acknowledged Basti’s presence in his life over the years, saying, “as i said in my speech, i had the privilege of not only being watched by you as i grew up, but by basti too. basti has seen me through every phase of my life over the past ten years. i witnessed a rare kind of love between the two of you—one that stayed strong through adversity.”

“some people may not see it, but i do. and i know you’ve helped each other become the best versions of yourselves over the years.”

He assured Claudia that no matter what, he will always be there for her.

“Claui, I hope you know i’ll forever be here for you in times of hardship. even though someone else will now look after you, as your brother, I won’t ever let you go through life’s challenges alone. I am, and always will be, your biggest supporter and protector,” he remarked.

“(I) pray for a happy marriage ahead. continue to protect your peace and joy—don’t let anyone or anything take that away. love you, claudia. and welcome to the family, basti. ♥️,” he said.

Claudia responded with a touching reply, “I’m incredibly lucky to have you.”

Claudia and Basti tied the knot earlier this week at St. James the Great Parish in Muntinlupa. The reception followed at The Lakehall at Nena’s Sanctuary in Sta. Elena Golf and Country Estate, Santa Rosa, Laguna.

The couple, who began dating in 2015, have kept their relationship mostly private over the years.

Claudia’s eldest sister Dani also shared her own message on social media, offering advice from her perspective as a married woman.

“Savor every second, hold each other a little tighter, and let your hearts be full. This day is yours, soak in all the joy, the laughter, the love. You deserve every bit of it,” she expressed. “Don’t let anything or anyone dim the light of this moment. It’s your story, your love, and your forever beginning.”

“I wish you both a lifetime of happiness, adventure, and love that only grows deeper with time.”
