Dating speculations continue to hound Kyline Alcantara and Kobe Paras as they enjoyed a beach getaway in Quezon with Alcantara’s family—although the athlete clarified that they’re “just friends.”

Alcantara and Paras jetted off to Infanta, Quezon with the actress’ family for a quick downtime, which the basketball player said was an opportunity to know the “Shining Inheritance” star’s parents better.

“Masaya kasi kasama po namin ang parents ni Ky (It’s nice because we’re with Ky’s parents). It gives me a chance to bond with them and to get to know each other better,” Paras told 24 Oras broadcast on Friday, October 4.

When asked about their relationship status, the actress remained mum, however, she stressed that “what you see is what you get.”

“Ako naman, ang lagi kong sagot diyan (For me, my answer) is what you see is what you get. Again, sinabi ko na po (I already said) that it’s not my responsibility to explain or confirm or deny anything,” she said.

The baller chimed in, saying, “Meron akong famous quote online, ‘we’re just friends,’” which led to him and Alcantara laughing together.

Alcantara and Paras sparked dating rumors after being spotted together on multiple occasions since May 2024. They were seen attending the GMA Gala 2024 and bonding with the basketball player’s father Benjie, brother Andre, and the latter’s non-showbiz girlfriend as a pair, among other sightings.

The Kapuso actress said in an August 2024 interview that her feelings towards Paras are “different,” although she remained mum on the details of their rumored romance.

Alcantara and Paras recently worked together in the online miniseries “Miss Legends” which was released in September of this year.
