When Tony Labrusca entered showbiz nine years ago, he never expected that his toned physique would lead him to become one of the sexiest young actors in local Tinseltown.

Tony knows his sexy image is what initially comes to mind every time one mentions his name.

“Yes and no,” began Tony when I asked if he’s comfortable being tagged as one of the sexiest male celebrities.

“Because I feel like they’re always expecting that I am going to take off my clothes or there’s a sexy angle which can be good, masaya rin naman and there’s nothing wrong with people thinking you’re sexy pero minsan kasi ang hirap kasi gusto ko din ng ibang image.

So, ang hirap kumalas.”

The actor emphasized he is more than just a hunk. He has stories to tell and he is equally eager to show what more he can offer as an actor. At 29, Tony has matured mentally yet his character remains the same.

“I feel that I am still a young boy, na-keep ko ‘yung boyish qualities ko, which I think is my strength, honestly. I don’t take things too seriously,” said Tony whose curiosity to learn new things proves essential to his craft.

“Pero ‘yung mga nabago, I think ngayon mas mature ako mentally, in terms of handling problems and dealing with people.

Isa sa unang maiisip kapag nabanggit ang pangalan ni Binibining Marikit star Tony Labrusca ay ang pagiging sexy actor nito. Ngunit ayon sa kanya, matagal na niyang gustong makawala sa imaheng iyon.

Sa Fast Talk with Boy Abunda nitong Huwebes, january 23, tinanong ni King of Talk Boy Abunda kung kumportable ba si Tony sa imaheng nakadikit na sa kaniya. Ang sagot ng aktor, “Yes and no.”

Paliwanag ni Tony, “Kasi parang lagi nilang ine-expect na maghuhubad ako or may sexy angle, which can be good, masaya rin naman minsan, okay naman. Nothing wrong with people thinking you’re sexy.”

Ngunit ayon sa aktor, “Pero minsan kasi ang hirap kasi gusto ko rin ng ibang image. So ang hirap kumalas.”

Samantala,dahil napag-usapan na nila ang pagiging sexy, tinanong ng batikang host kung sino para sa kaniya ang sexy ngayon, mapababae man o lalaki.

Ang unang pangalan na binanggit ni Tony, ang kaniyang Binibining Marikit leading lady na si Herlene Budol.

“Of course, Herlene, Herlene Budol, para sa’kin, Pokwang, Pokwang is very sexy, and I mean this, I truly do.

And three, I would say my counterpart sa series na ‘to, si Kevin Dasom,” sabi ni Tony.

Nang tanungin naman si Tony kung sino pang Kapuso actress ang gusto niyang makatrabaho, ang sagot ng aktor, “At the top of my mind, Sanya Lopez.”
