The Philippines’ Queen of All Media Kris Aquino shared that she had some surgical procedures done earlier this week and couldn’t help but shed happy tears right after. She was implanted with a port-a-cath–– a small, implantable device used for long-term intravenous access.

Kris shared that she had her procedure done last August 20 as she wanted it done before August 21 which marked Ninoy Aquino day.

She recalled how her mother, the late President Cory Aquino also had a port-a-cath implanted but never saw her complain.

“While writing this happy tears are flowing—because i’m remembering how much our mom endured for us, she also had a port-a-cath surgically implanted, yet we never heard her complain, and she didn’t have a pain management doctor,” she wrote.

Kris showed some photos of her sons, Josh and Bimby, who stayed with her at the hospital to show their support for their mother. She shared how they are the reason she is continuing her battle for her life.

“My sons are the reason i continue to endure—if i wasn’t their mama, matagal na po akong sumuko. It’s very difficult to be as brave as my dad & my mom because I know this is just the beginning of more aggressive treatment to keep me alive and get me to a point of remission,” she added.Có thể là hình ảnh về 3 người, bệnh viện và văn bản

The celebrity mom then shared that will continue to get treatment as she goes into isolation within the next six months. She is hopeful that her medical team will figure out the best treatment plan that could be given to her–– as someone who has several allergies to medicine, food, and the environment.

Ending her post, Kris maintained that she will continue the battle and is grateful for everyone who has shown their love and support for her.

“I have a new hashtag to remind myself how much i owe all of you who continue praying for me. Thank you for your patience, support, and much appreciated LOVE #labankris,” she ended.

Kris was previously diagnosed with several autoimmune diseases that led her to going to the US for treatment and only came back to the country last year.
