“I’m deeply saddened by this development. Hope [you] give us time to mourn his [loss] especially my daughter. Just pray for us that we will get [through] this by the help of God!” she remarked.

The actress pointed out that they are still in the process of confirming details surrounding her husband’s death. Rufa  Mae asked the public to stop spreading speculations and misinformation.

“We are still gathering factual information about his death. Even us or his immediate family are still verifying what happened. So we kindly ask his friends or anyone to stop spreading fake news or mere speculations about his death,” she said.

The actress shared that she will be traveling to the U.S. and will soon release a statement regarding the details of Trevor’s death. “I am flying tomorrow for [the] US with my daughter so pls wait for the official announcement surrounding his death from me & his family only and not [from] any other source,” she stated.

She added: “Thank [you] very much and pls give us respect & pray for us in this time of trial.”

Rufa Mae concluded her post, saying: “Hanggang sa huli…. Hanggang sa muli, mahal kita Trev.”

As previously reported, Trevor passed away earlier this week as confirmed by ABS-CBN News from a relative of the actress.

Rufa and Trevor got married in 2016 in Quezon City. They shared one child, Alexandria Athena, who turned eight years old earlier this year.

In 2024, Trevor posted on Instagram Stories that they were in the process of a divorce.

In an interview with Boy Abunda in January, Rufa Mae shared that while her late husband was vocal about getting a divorce, no paperwork had been filed at the time of her statement, as the two tied the knot in the Philippines where divorce is not legal.

Rufa Mae Quinto’s husband Trevor Magallanes passes away

Trevor Magallanes, the husband of Rufa Mae Quinto, passed away earlier this week as confirmed by ABS-CBN News from a relative of the actress. The actress reportedly learned about her husband’s death while in Manila, but has little details about the matter. She will be flying back to the US to be with family.

In a previous interview, Rufa shared that while her late husband has been vocal about getting a divorce, no paperwork had been filed at the time of her statement. The two tied the knot in the Philippines where divorce is not legal.

“Yung legalities, walang file ng divorce. Walang nag file. Hindi ako mag fifile kasi andami ko ng file sa kaso. Ayoko muna mag file sa divorce kasi dito rin naman kami kinasal sa Pilipinas. Di ko na rin alam ano gagawin masyadong masakit pa. May anak din kami,” she previously shared.

She also expressed how she is willing to talk things out and knows there’s a reason for the things that have been happening in their lives.

“Oo naman mahal ko siya siyempre tsaka gusto ko makumpleto ang pamilya namin. Ako kasi kung ayaw na, rerespetuhin ko yun kahit masakit sa akin… Bakit ko pipilitin ang isang tao kung ayun ang nararamdaman niya,” she said.

Trevor shared one child with the actress, Alexandria Athena, who turned eight years old earlier this year. The couple tied the knot back in 2016 in an intimate ceremony held in Quezon City.

Rufa Mae Quinto restarts life, career in PH after legal, personal woes

Comedian Rufa Mae Quinto is rebooting her life in the Philippines after facing legal woes and career hiccups. This, after court recently dismissed the complaint filed against her and her involvement in a skincare brand.

Speaking to ABS-CBN News, Quinto said she finds the decision a big relief after months of anxiety and stress over the complaint.

“Ang saya saya mo, pero at the same time, flashback pa rin. Kumbaga siguro proseso ang mangyayari. At least ngayon malaya ka, makakalabas ka na, kahit saan ka pumunta. Nagka-pag-asa ako, chance,” Quinto said.

She added, “Nagsisimula ako ngayon ulit. Kahit anong sabihiin, ‘yung mga mali mo, ngayon hinahanap mo ‘yung tamang solusyon o gagawin mo nang mag-isa. Clean slate, brand new.”

Quinto also said that it was learning curve for her. “Actually, dati pa naman akong maingat. Kaya lang nga, sinasabi ko lang pagbibiktimahin ka rin, manloloko ang mga tao, kahit maayos ang usapan, may kontrata lahat, pwede ‘yung maging iba kung gusto ka nilang lokohin.”

Will she counter-sue? “Hindi na. Kasi hindi ko rin naman sila kilala eh, saka hindi na rin naman nila nilaban eh. Parang one or two lang na nag-hearing. ‘Yun lang ‘yun. Tapos after nun, na-cancel naman na lahat ng hearing.”

Since then, Quinto and her daughter have been flying back and forth between Manila and San Francisco. Juggling family time and work opportunities here has been physically taxing for the comedienne. So now, she has started rebuilding her home in Quezon City and Makati.

Will she be staying full-time in Manila now? “Uuwi pa rin ako, kasi resident pa rin ako sa US.”

But ultimately, Quinto wants to dip her fingers again in acting and go full-time with work, including reviving her YouTube vlogs.

She also wants her daughter to understand the showbiz world she is living in.

“Para lang din makilala ng anak ko kung sino ako, sino siya. Kasi hindi niya alam eh. Sabi nga niya, ‘Mama, why everyone likes you? Ba’t parang sikat ka?’ Sabi ko, ‘This is really my life. But I chose to you know, chose family, US to take care of you, to be normal.”

She added, “You have to know, who am I, who you are, yes!”
