Kathryn Bernardo calls building dream house a favorite milestone: ‘It’s for my family’

Kathryn Bernardo shared that building her family’s dream house is one of her most favorite milestones in her life.

The Kapamilya actress recently finished building her new house in the last quarter of the previous year.

“It’s very fulfilling kasi, more than my dream house, that house is really for my family, for my mama and papa. Not that they asked me to build that house for them, but it was like a promise to myself na someday I want to give them their dream house,” she remarked in an interview with Bianca Gonzalez in the TFC show BRGY.

The actress relayed that her family is now residing in the said house. Kathryn admitted that they are still adjusting living in such a massive space but she’s happy to see her parents happy.

“Ngayon dun kami naka-stay so every time I go home tapos gigising ka nandun, weird pa rin in a way kasi di kami sanay na sobrang ganun kalaki and it’s so nice because alam kong masaya ‘yung mom ko sa bahay,” she said.

“I want my nieces, my nephew and everyone parang iyon ‘yung magiging main house ng family na ‘pag may reunion dun pupunta, ‘pag may Sunday lunch or whatever. Parang iyon ‘yung ang magiging main headquarters ng family. ‘Yun na-envision ko,” she said.

The Hello, Love, Again star added: “More than the grandness of the house we wanted it to feel like home, especially for the kids. Kasi sila naman ‘yan eh. Sa next generation, ‘yung future family ko, ‘yung may mapupuntahan sila para lang sure na meron silang matatawag na home. Iyon ‘yung purpose nun.”

Kathryn pointed out that it took a lot of hard work to build her dream house but it was all worth it.

“It didn’t happen overnight and when it happened, iba siguro ‘yung happiness ko because alam ko kung paano ko siya painaghirapan. Ang tagal ko siyang pinagtrabahuan but it was all worth it noong nakita ko kung paano sila mama and papa ngayon. Maybe one of the major milestones ko from 2023 until now,” she remarked.
