We don’t usually encourage being overly ~*cheesy*~ in public, but if you’re Kathryn Bernardo and Daniel Padilla, then you’re obviously an exception. The reel-to-real loveteam, who’s set to make their comeback through their new Netflix series 2 Good 2 Be True, has been together for 10 years now, and it looks like they’re gearing up for the next stage!

As it turns out, they’ve been talking about ~*marriage*~ one year into their relationship. “Dati pa naman, 16 at 17 years old pa lang kami, pinag-uusapan na namin ‘yan. Now, we’re here,” said the actor. Now 27, Daniel says he’s looking forward to marrying his ladylove. “Kasi, ano pa bang ano ko sa buhay ko? 27 na ako. What’s next sa aming dalawa?”

When asked by director Cathy Garcia Molina if they’re likely to have tied the knot already 10 years from now, Kathryn had a candid response. “Pag 10 years? Siyempre, meron na,” to which Daniel insisted, “Meron na.”

“Iyon din. Iyon na ‘yung ultimatum ko—‘pag hindi pa ako kinasal; Kathryn, ‘pag ayaw mo pa, ayoko na!” the actor joked.

Turning serious, Daniel mentioned more about their ~future plans~. “Iyon na ‘yung next chapter ng buhay namin. Kailangan na… 10 years na kami rin. Iba ‘yung kasal. After that, you build a house together, build a family together.”

According to Kathryn, they originally intended to marry at the age they’re currently in now. “Nag-mo-move. Dapat 26. Ang bilis pala,” she said, adding that even 28 years old seems too early for them to settle down.

“Trenta, usapan natin. Hindi na ma-mo-move ‘yun,” DJ insisted.

Kathryn interjected him by saying that they need to be ~*ready*~ before taking the plunge and moving forward to the next step.

“Baka ikaw ang hindi pa ready. Ready na ako,” Kathryn’s beau concluded.
