Carmina as a celebrity mom

Although it wasn’t her dream for her kids to enter showbiz, she had prepared them for the worst things that could happen in their careers. Case in point: bashing. She had always made it to a point to remind them that they cannot please everybody and it’s okay.

As an actress, she was used to just blocking hateful accounts and moving forward in showbiz. But it’s different when it comes to her kids.

Kasi normal reaction ‘yun. Lalong-lalo na sa anak mo… So I don’t know why they’re saying na pakialamera ako. I’m not bothered and I don’t care.

Carmina shared that she had raised her twins free from violence. She had also taught them to walk away from relationships that hurt them both physically and emotionally. It’s one of her golden rules when it comes to her family, she says, and she believes it applies to anyone at all.

She recalls telling her twins, “Walang sino man ang pwedeng manakit sa’yo physically and emotionally. They have no right.”

The actress-mom furthered in the conversation pointing out, “So whether magulang ka, girlfriend ka, boyfriend ka, saktan ka physically, emotionally hindi tama kasi bakit napunta sa ganon?”

When asked if someone ever hurt her kids both emotionally and physically, her response was: “Emotionally, oo.
