It took 11 years for comeback actress Katherine Luna to come clean and finally apologize to ex-boyfriend Coco Martin for saying he is the father of her daughter.
Luna reached out to the “Batang Quiapo” star during an interview with Julius Babao, where she admitted that there had been “no closure” following their involvement, and then later on “mistakenly” pinned her pregnancy on him.
I can still face him before. I can’t do it now. I’m so embarrassed. After what happened and what I said before, I hope that you’ll forgive me),” she said, when Babao inquired about their past relationship did not have a “proper closure.”
Luna recalled her old romance with Martin, which she now labeled as a mere “mutual understanding.” She said that they used to meet at her condo, but their closeness eventually waned. The actress then got involved with a Chinese businessman who would later impregnate her, but she would pin this pregnancy on Martin.
Of course, as the mother, I was happy that he might be the father).”

Folly of youth
Eventually, Luna noticed that her child ended up looking like the Chinese businessman, which prompted her to think that Martin was not the father. Unbeknown to her, Martin ended up getting a DNA test to confirm the truth.

Martin’s paternity issue made headlines in 2014 after tearfully speaking up about Luna’s daughter in a “The Buzz” interview. Since then, the latter has been inactive in her acting career.
The “Batang Quiapo” star has yet to address Luna’s interview, as of this writing.

Luna acknowledged her “mistakes,” which she attributed to the folly of youth, negatively impacted Martin’s life.
Sana mapatawad ako balang araw,” she said.
(I’m sorry because I committed a lot of mistakes in the past due to our youth. Even you, your life was messed up. I want to ask for your forgiveness. I hope you will forgive me someday.)
Touching on Martin’s success, Luna said she is happy for his achievements, saying it is a fruit of his hard work even when he was still an indie actor.
