McCoy De Leon opened up about being a father to his daughter, Felize, with partner Elisse Joson in an interview on TFC talk show, BRGY.

“(She is) more than my life. ‘Yung masabi ko na sobrang worth it. Sobra, sobra.

He also admitted that, in contrast to his tough and ruthless character he portrays in FPJ’s Batang Quiapo, he was actually softer in real life when with his loved ones.

Ngayon nag-baby pa ako,” he confessed.

But he also mentioned that he has a strong will, though in a different way than the villain he portrays.

“May ibang lakas ng loob si McCoy din kasi in real life. Si David, duwag siya talaga. Ang character talaga niya, duwag si David,” he said, comparing himself to the villain he plays.

He reflected on what he has learned after being in the industry for quite some time now.

And gagamitin mo ‘yun para ipagtibay mo ‘yung loob mo at tumagal ka dito,” he shared. “I think, and I should, ‘di pwedeng mag-give up. Kasi at some point, tao din tayo, meron din time na (may) downfall. Pero, ‘wag ka lang hihinto.”

He added how he personally doesn’t want to put limitations on himself as an actor, especially as it is the industry he sees himself growing old in.

Na marami pa ma-discover sa pagiging actor,” he said.

Meanwhile, McCoy also revealed his original dream of becoming an engineer. He was actually on that path already, fueld by the goal to build a house for his family.

Before long, he found himself gravitating more towards acting. The idea was planted from seeing his parents act.

And ‘yun, meron pala akong kilig,” he shared.
