Kathryn Bernardo’s mother, Min Bernardo, recently sat down for an interview with MJ Felipe of ABS-CBN News, where she shared heartfelt insights about her daughter’s journey with her career.

During the latest episode of TV Patrol, Mommy Min reflected on how she gave up her career to focus on raising her children, especially Kathryn, who entered the industry at such a young age.

“Ginive up ko yung career ko para sa mga anak ko, especially since 24/7 ako nakabantay nung may Kathryn na pumasok sa industry natin,” she told MJ, earning praise from netizens online.

Mommy Min also recalled how Kathryn was already a “superstar” in their eyes even as a child.

She became emotional as she reminisced about the time they received an award in Los Angeles, which was a proud moment for their family, “Dati nahiya ako eh, pero bata pa lang siya, syempre superstar na tawag namin sa kanya. Nung naka-receive kami ng award sa LA, talagang super naiyak ako dun kaya nung in-award-an siya, syempre super proud ako na mommy.”

As Kathryn continues to evolve in her career and personal life, Mommy Min proudly acknowledged her daughter’s strength and independence, touching the hearts of fans online.

“Yes. Hinahayaan ko lang siya pero andiyan pa rin ako sa side na, bulong bulong, ‘Hindi tama yan, hindi okay yan’ yung mga ganun ba,” Mommy Min honestly confessed to MJ during the interview.

At one point, when asked if Kathryn has a lot of suitors, Mommy Min claimed, “Marami. Syempre naman! Ang pangit ba naman ng anak ko kung walang manliligaw?” with a hearty laughter.
