Ang mga upcoming drama series na What Lies Beneath at Hello Heaven, at ang reality talent show na Artista Academy ang ilan sa mga sigurado nang proyekto ni Julia Barretto sa 2025.

Ito ang ibinalita niya sa media conference ng Hold Me Close, ang pelikula ng Viva Films na pinagbibidahan nila ni Carlo Aquino at official entry sa 50th Metro Manila Film Festival.

“I am super excited to start the serye with ABS-CBN, What Lies Beneath.

“I will be working with brilliant actors—Bela Padilla, Janella Salvador, Charlie Dizon, Jake Cuenca, Jameson Blake, and JM de Guzman.

“We’re really looking forward, the story is different,” nakangiting pahayag ni Julia sa media conference ng Hold Me Close na ginanap nitong Huwebes ng hapon, Disyembre 12, sa Viva Cafe.

Pagpapatuloy niya: “Sabi ko nga, since the pandemic and after the pandemic, we’ve always… we’ve been doing love stories.

“So, parang it will be really refreshing for me na next year na makagagawa ako ng story as thrilling as What Lies Beneath.

“I am very very excited to work with ABS-CBN for this series.”

Excited din daw si Julia para sa Artista Academy ay Hello Heaven.

“I am also looking forward to Artista Academy, my first time to be hosting a reality show. That’s also a first for me.

“Hindi ko alam kung papaano mape-play out yung mga bagay-bagay. That’s something na I am gonna start preparing for in January 2025.

“And then I have the opportunity again to work with Direk Antoinette Jadaone for Hello Heaven.

“I am super super excited, and I’ve worked with Direk Tonette in Love You to the Stars and Back [2017], the movie that I did with Joshua Garcia.

“So this will be our second project together and I’ve been telling her for many years, sabi ko, ‘Direk, ano na?’

“So finally next year, mas matagal kaming magsasama, series din yon,” sabi ni Julia.

HOLD ME CLOSE: A MOVIE FOR THE WHOLE FAMILY

Kabilang sa ibinahagi ni Julia ang balitang PG o Parental Guidance ang classification na ibinigay ng MTRCB sa Hold Me Close, kaya maaari itong panoorin ng buong pamilya.

“We’re PG, if I am not mistaken. The whole family can watch it and enjoy the movie.

“I’ve already seen the film. Kasi sa premiere night, mas gusto ko kalma na ako.

“So I have seen the film. It really gave me a different kind of feeling.

“I think that is the magic of Direk Jason Paul Laxamana. He’s just able to take you to a universe that he has really created.

“I am just so grateful to be a part of the story and the vision. I think you will understand what I mean when you see the film.”

JULIA BARRETTO’S GIANT POODLE, FITZ

Kasama ni Julia sa press conference ng Hold Me Close ang kanyang pet dog, ang giant poodle na si Fitz, na umagaw ng atensiyon ng entertainment media dahil maamo at lumalapit sa lahat.

Ayon kay Julia, best friend niya si Fitz at ito ang nagbibigay ng kasiyahan sa tahanan nila.

Saad niya: “Fitz is my sixth-month-old giant poodle. He’s going to grow bigger especially when he turns one.

“He’s been our happiness in the house. He’s like a best friend.

“Growing up, I think I developed, like, a fear and I was able to get over that. Siguro, medyo malaki na rin ako.

“I started with a small dog and then later on, napamahal ako sa malalaki talaga na dogs.

“I think that’s because also of the infuence of Ge [Gerald Anderson, her boyfriend]. He has a lot of big dogs.”

Sabi pa niya tungkol kay Fitz, “He’s an addition to the family.

“Everything is just so much better. Parang may companion ka talaga.

“Every day, the whole day, may inuuwian ka na happiness sa bahay, so he’s really brighten up our homes.

“He’s super malambing. He’s very clingy pero masaya.”
