(X) “Why is Lady Gaga praying for America?” – A day of love, not hatred: Lady Gaga makes a heartfelt prayer for Americans, find out why

“A day for acceptance not fear,” the singer wrote as she captioned a photo of herself at the Capitol

Lady Gaga is looking forward to a peaceful day at Joe Biden’s presidential inauguration Wednesday.

A day before the Chromatica singer, 34, is set to perform the national anthem at Biden’s inauguration in Washington, D.C., the singer shared a touching message about her hopes for the historic occasion.

“I pray tomorrow will be a day of peace for all Americans. A day for love, not hatred. A day for acceptance not fear,” she wrote, captioning a photo of herself wearing an all-white ensemble in the Capitol rotunda.

“A day for dreaming of our future joy as a country. A dream that is non-violent, a dream that provides safety for our souls,” she continued. “Love, from the Capitol .”

Last week, Gaga shared that she was “deeply honored” to perform at the Inaugural celebrations. The performance comes months after she helped campaign for the now-President-Elect.

“@joebiden @KamalaHarris and the American people, you just gave the world one of the greatest acts of kindness and bravery humanity has ever seen,” she captioned a photo of herself hugging Biden after he and Kamala Harris won the election. “Nothing but love for our new Commander in Chief and the 1ST female VP elected to the White House. Also, way to go PA 😭❤️”

Just a week before the Election Day, the singer performed in Pennsylvania to support the former Vice President.

“Something, something about my cool Pennsylvania guy,” she sang, shifting the lyrics of her track “Yoü and I.” “There’s something about, Joe, you and I.”
