Jellie Aw urged fellow women who have suffered from abuse to stand up against their abusers, as she reiterated that she is pursuing her complaint against Jam Igancio for alleged assault.
The disc jockey said this through her Facebook page on Tuesday, March 11, in an apparent response to those who have been asking if she would proceed with her legal action against Ignacio.
“Sa mga nagtatanong, yes po, tuloy na tuloy ang kaso! Di pwedeng gano’n-gano’n na lang! Ano siya sinu-swerte?” she wrote.
She then addressed those in the same situation as her and said, “Alam ko madaming sinasaktan d’yan, natatakot lang magsumbong at mahal kasi nila. Oo mahal natin pero sobrang mali manakit.”
“Babae tayo, may karapatan tayo!” she added.
Jellie, however, did not immediately give any details on her complaint against Ignacio.
Jellie accused Ignacio of beating her last Feb. 12, coming out on social media with a swollen and bruised face. Days later, she filed a complaint against him before the National Bureau of Investigation (NBI).
Ignacio then apologized to Jellie, vowing that he would not do it again and asking for a chance to fix their relationship.
Jellie did not accept his apology and announced the cancellation of their wedding. Days after appearing at the NBI, Ignacio appearred to have flown to Japan. It is not clear if he has returned from that trip, as his last Instagram was last Jan. 1 when they were still on good terms.
