South Korean singer Wheesung passed away at the age of 43 last March 10 which was confirmed by his entertainment agency, TAJOY Entertainment. The police are currently investigating the actual cause of his death as of this writing.

Wheesung was found by the emergency responders collapsed in an apartment in Seoul and was pronounced dead.

In their official statement, TAJOY Entertainment shared how saddened they are over the loss of one of their talents. They expressed their thoughts and prayers towards the family that the South Korean singer left behind.

“This is Tajoy Entertainment, the agency of singer Wheesung. We are deeply sorry to share such heartbreaking and tragic news. On March 10, our beloved artist Wheesung passed away. He was found in a state of cardiac arrest at his home in Seoul and was subsequently pronounced deceased,” the statement wrote.

TAJOY Entertainment added that while this was a painful news to break for his fans, they asked to keep the late singer in their prayers.

“The sudden loss has left his family, fellow artists at Tajoy Entertainment, and our entire staff in profound grief. It pains us deeply to deliver this devastating news to the fans who have always supported and loved Wheesung. We ask that you keep him in your thoughts and prayers so that he may rest peacefully,” the statement added.

Details for Wheesung’s funeral will be announced soon by the entertainment agency. They added to keep away from the fake news about the true cause of his death for the sake of the family.

“During this difficult time, we sincerely ask for restraint from unverified rumors or speculative reports out of respect for his bereaved family. Once again, we extend our deepest condolences as we bid a final farewell to Wheesung,” the statement ended.

Wheesung made his debut back in 2002 and has been active in the music industry since then. He was previously given a two-year suspended sentence for the illegal abuse of propofol back in 2021 and was found guilty of spending 6.5 million won for prescriptions of the same drug.
