After a seven-year hiatus, Pilipinas Got Talent is back, and it’s packing a punch before the show even starts with a new set of all-star judges. One of them is “Asia’s Superstar” Kathryn Bernardo, who turned up at the big reveal wearing a powerful aura in a sultry, black, floor-length frock by Anthony Ramirez.

She looked every bit regal with her hair down, as styled by John Valle. Her long locks perfectly framed her defined features, thanks to makeup artist Owen Sarmiento, who gave her a natural yet strong look.

In an interview, the actress shared her excitement over the project as it’ll be her first venture into judging. “This is another first for me, and I want to experience it,” she said. “I think it’s a good breaker after doing Hello Love Again and before I start with a new project.”

Prior to this new stint, Kathryn, along with her co-star Alden Richardsbroke records with their 2024 film Hello, Love, Again. In particular, it grossed P1.4 billion worldwide to become the highest-grossing Philippine movie of all time, dethroning the MMFF blockbuster Rewind.

Joining Kathryn are “Comedy Star for All Seasons” Eugene Domingo, “The New Gen Matinee Idol” Donny Pangilinan, and the OG Pilipinas Got Talent panelist and “The Boss” Freddie “FMG” Garcia.

“FMG is the authority. I add the fun. Kathryn is the heart. And Donny represents the young generation,” explained Eugene who sees their lineup as the “perfect combination” to spot Filipino talent.

Melai Cantiveros and Robi Domingo were also announced as hosts for the show’s comeback season. In its last airing in 2018, the judges panel featured Vice Ganda, Angel Locsin, and Robin Padilla, alongside hosts Toni Gonzaga and Billie Crawford.

With a new breed of names taking over the helm, Pilipinas Got Talent is definitely more than ready to discover the next batch of promising Pinoy stars. The show is set to air this March 2025.
