“I have gone through hardships and difficulties, trying every possible way to bring you into this world, but in the end, your presence, I believe, was your own choice. I will be a good mother and accompany you as you grow up. But no matter what, you are an independent individual, and you will have your own mission. My duty is to support you in every way possible.

I love you very much and am willing to use my life to protect you (though I hope such a situation never arises). No matter what kind of person you become in the future, I will always love you,” wrote Barbie Hsu.
